SWIMMERS OF THE MONTH

NOVEMBER

Breakthrough Award Making significant improvements / Success by overcoming obstacles

High Performance Braeden Newton
With his return from his two month training in Australia, Braeden Newton’s broken wrist did not slow down his training pace at all. In fact he used the opportunity to become one of the group’s best kickers and after being out of the cast less than one month is already back to swimming lifetime best workout performances. Talk about success by overcoming obstacles! Cheers to Isaac as Swimmer of the Month for November and wish him luck in January on his first National Team Tour ever!

Performance Luke Peddie
When all of his health obstacles are over, Lucky Luke is going to be able to look back and thank those experiences for teaching him to be resilient. Luke has had to pick himself up off the floor several times over the past few seasons, but he has dusted himself off and gotten back to near full health now... and his performances in workout and competition are beginning to shine. He is fast becoming one of the fastest age group sprinters in the country, and has a great background of distance training to help him soon become a threat in almost every event. His team spirit at the pool and love of swimming is really fun to be around, and his teammates and coach all appreciate what he has brought to the Performance group this season.

Fountain Park TAG

Scona TAG Arynn deLeeuw
This month’s winner has improved in every aspect of her swimming: distance swimming, sprinting, kicking, pulling, you name it. Her training times have improved drastically over the past month and the fact that she has constantly pushed her limits has seen her have some great breakthroughs including having the second fastest 200 kick time from anyone ever in the Scona program. Congrats to Arynn deLeeuw!

Fountain Park YD

Fountain Park JAG

Scona JAG Chelsea Behn
Chelsea Behn has done an amazing job over the past month of working hard day-in and day-out and now is really reaping the rewards. In a timed 2000 she swam under her best 1500 free pace, and her effort on kick sets has made her one of the fastest kickers in the pool. Keep it up Chelsea!
