Hello OSC Families,
The Edmonton Open swim meet will be the first long course meet of the season. It will be taking place January 30th to February 1st, 2026 at the Kinsmen Sports Center (Edmonton, AB). This is a qualifying meet so swimmers will need to achieve the time standards to enter. There are 3 bonus events at the meet, meaning swimmers can race their qualified events plus 3 extra guaranteeing every swimmer a minimum of 4 races with no limit as to how many events they can enter. This is a heats & finals at this meet, but know that the events are OPEN meaning the top 20 make A & B finals, with the C final being the top 10 swimmers under the age of 15 who are not already in the A or B finals. 400m events will only have an A and 15&u B Final.
Declaration is now open for the 2026 edition and will close on January 9th, 2026 at 11:59pm. Please declare your swimmers' participation before the deadline. If you have any questions about the meet please contact your coach.
