On Sunday, October 19th, 209 OSC swimmers made a big splash at our very own OSC Home Opener, marking the official start of the 2025–2026 swim season. The atmosphere on the pool deck was filled with energy, team spirit, and excitement as swimmers took to the water to race their teammates and test their early-season progress.

From our youngest competitors to our national athletes, everyone brought their best effort. The results spoke for themselves — 475 personal best times were achieved throughout the day! It was an incredible display of hard work, consistency, and determination, setting a strong tone for the rest of the season.

One of the standout moments of the meet came from Luke Li, who earned a Top 5 Youth Recognition in the 50 Freestyle with an impressive time of 32.47. Congratulations, Luke, on your outstanding performance!

A huge thank you goes out to our amazing volunteers, officials, and parents who helped make this event possible. From timing and officiating to organizing behind the scenes, your efforts are truly what make meets like this run smoothly. The OSC community’s dedication and teamwork continue to make our club such a special environment for all our swimmers. With this strong start, the season ahead is looking bright.

Congratulations to all swimmers on a great first meet — and good luck to all OSC athletes competing at the Saskatoon GoldfinsSpooktacular Invitational and the Poppy Invitational in Edmonton this weekend!
