12 & Under Series Meet #1 2025

On Sunday, Nov 9, 103 OSC swimmers took part in the opening meet of the OSC 12 & Under Swim Series. This event is the first of four that OSC hosts throughout the season to give 12&U athletes more racing experience and a chance to track their progress.

The single afternoon format made for fast racing and great opportunities to work on all four strokes. The 12&U series is ideal for swimmers chasing records, time standards and best times, as well as a fun and welcoming environment for new racers.

OSC swimmers achieved 242 best times and 42 podium finishes. We also had several new and repeat qualifiers for key meets this season. 

A special shoutout goes to Isaac Colquhoun, who achieved a Top 5 Recognition time in the 50 metre breaststroke with a time of 44.78. Well done, Isaac!

OSC also finished the meet with 16 gold, 13 silver and 13 bronze podium places. Fantastic work! 

Congratulations to our new qualifiers, podium finishers and the many swimmers who applied coach feedback and improved elements of their racing. Technical progress in areas like streamlines, turns and stroke efficiency is meaningful, and it was great to see so many athletes moving in the right direction. We are excited to watch everyone continue to progress at the upcoming meets. Let’s go, OSC!
