12 & Under Series Meet #4 2026

On Sunday, May 24, 2026, 104 OSC swimmers participated in our OSC 12 & Under Novice Series #4 Swim Meet at the Kinsmen Sports Centre. In attendance were 8 swim teams from around Alberta. The afternoon was filled with many great achievements by all, most notably:

We had 15 swimmers qualify for new provincial meets!

• Alyssa Argueta – 50 Free (33.18) and 50 Back (39.71)
• Niah Beaudoin – 50 Free (35.04)
• Izabela Buchanan – 50 Breast (41.10) and 50 Fly (36.91)
• Joshua Carmichael – 50 Fly (39.80)
• Isaac Colquhoun – 50 Breast (44.36), 50 Fly (39.64), and 200 Back (3:13.78)
• Becktham Dodd – 50 Breast (45.92) and 50 Fly (34.55)
• Jayden Guo – 100 Medley (1:36.36)
• Dexter Kingston – 200 Back (3:15.94)
• Vsevolod Kovalchuk – 50 Breast (39.98) and 100 Breast (1:29.43)
• Luke Li – 50 Free (31.02) and 100 Breast (42.92)
• Nathan Mah – 200 Free (2:36.34)
• Luke Nunez – 200 Breast (3:26.15)
• Derek Pahanot – 50 Free (32.37), 50 Back (38.29), and 200 Breast (3:26.85)
• Emily Pilipenko – 50 Breast (39.34)
• Jeremy Tchir – 100 Free (1:14.14) 

The team also had 51 podium finishes:

• 19 First Place finishes
• 14 Second Place finishes
• 18 Third Place finishes 

We saw 230 personal best times throughout the meet and earned 27 qualifying times, highlighting the hard work and dedication of our swimmers. In addition, the team set 1 new club record, making it an especially memorable day of racing. Luke Li broke the OSC 10 & Under Boys 50m Freestyle club record with a time of 31.02, setting a new benchmark for the club!

A huge thank you to all of our volunteers, officials, coaches, and families for helping make this meet a success. Congratulations to all of the swimmers on a fantastic day of racing and for representing OSC so well.
