Swim Alberta Summer Provincial Trials 2026

From June 26th to 28th, 24 OSC athletes headed to Calgary to race at the Swim Alberta Summer Provincial Trials held at the MNP Community Sport Centre. It was an incredible weekend of fast racing, resulting in 81 personal best times and 16 podium finishes.
OSC couldn't be prouder of these young athletes for their hard work and dedication.

Outstanding Medal & Relay Performances
Our individual swimmers and relay teams stepped up big when it mattered most. Congratulations to all our medalists:

Jackson Bitea: 2 Gold, 1 Silver | 3 Total
Hudson Ironside: 1 Gold, 2 Silver | 3 Total
Alice Liu: 1 Silver, 1 Bronze | 2 Total
Miller Schnepf: 1 Gold | 1 Total
Alex Yu: 1 Gold | 1 Total
Mikayla Gunderson: 1 Silver | 1 Total
Maya Horn: 1 Silver | 1 Total
Shou Inaba: 1 Silver | 1 Total
Elizabeth Morgantini: 1 Bronze | 1 Total
Boys 14&U 4x50 Medley Relay: 1 Bronze | 1 Total (Michael, Hudson, Miller, Shou)
 

Swim Alberta Provincial Championships Qualifers
By winning their events and/or smashing time standards, four OSC athletes officially qualified for the upcoming Swim Alberta Summer Provincial Championships:

Jackson Bitea: Double-qualified by winning both the 200m Breaststroke and 200m Backstroke. Jackson also hit the official time standard by clocking an exceptional 2:38.77 in his 200m Backstroke.
Hudson Ironside: Claimed victory in the 50m Breaststroke, stopping the clock at an impressive 35.09 to punch his ticket to Champs.
Miller Schnepf: Dominated one of the most challenging events in the pool, winning the 200m Fly with a time of 2:44.08 (just off his personal best) to secure his qualification.
Alex Yu: Saved the best for last on the final event of the final day. After dropping over 2 seconds from his prelims, Alex clocked a 1:14.04 in the 100m Fly final—moving up 4 spots to take the win and qualify for Champs.
